Killer rock band seeks bass, guitar, keys, vox, drums Reply to: anon-52565996@craigslist.org Date: 2004-12-16, 10:31AM PST Me: electric cowbell player. I'm not a virtuoso but I know how to ROCK. I have written 3 songs but I've played on a lot of tracks before. I need a backing band to support my original material. You: pro musician, touring experience, pro gear, have your own transportation, live near me, no druggies. Must have songwriting ability, but you have to play my songs anyway. Must not be able to read music, because I can't, and that would just embarass me. Must be cool, meaning you like me and will do what I tell you. Must be into spending every waking moment rehearsing my songs, or taking a smoke break, or going out to eat together. Practicing on your own and then rehearsing only twice a week is unacceptable. I expect you to sit around patiently while I figure out my parts and make mistakes over and over again because that's how real musicians work. TEAMWORK!!! You must be DEDICATED, living off of a trust fund so you don't have to work to pay the rent, or at least, you're unskilled in any trade so your job is really shitty = KEEPIN' IT REAL!!!! You must not be in any other bands or expect to make money from music. NO MERCENARIES! But still be a pro! UNDISCOVERED ROCK STARS ONLY. Someday we'll be totally rich. Until then, you work for the Love of Music... Cowbell music. Influences: Spooge Monkeys, The Craptacklers, Cheese Fingers, Dingle Train, Woodlock Oil Experience. If you've never heard of these bands before, you're a loser. Don't contact me. I have a video of some studio work from earlier in my career here: http://mknx.com/v/cowbell.wmv P.S. Why is it so damn hard to find real musicians on Craigslist?
