"Two Hearts", the Hugo-award-winning sequel to "The Last Unicorn", was awarded the Nebula award for Best Novelette!

New Last Unicorn DVD!

The Last Unicorn 25th Anniversary DVD A new DVD release of The Last Unicorn is now available. The video and audio have been digitally remastered, and the movie is presented in widescreen format with 5.1 (surround sound) audio, and ships in a special edition package.

Read the Press Release from Conlan Press (pdf file)

Reasons to buy this special release instead of the older DVD:

  1. The older DVD was a very bare-bones version - no special features, and pretty bad sound and video quality. The new DVD will have a featurette including an interview with Peter, and the 1982 theatrical trailer.
  2. You can buy a copy of the new DVD autographed by Peter himself!
  3. Most importantly, if you purchase copies of the DVD (autographed or not) from Conlan Press, Peter will receive part of the purchase price. If you purchase copies elsewhere, he'll get nothing at all! (See this page for the ongoing story: http://www.conlanpress.com/youcanhelp/ )

Available at fine booksellers everywhere, such as Amazon.com
Or order a personalized, autographed copy from Conlan Press!
  • "The Last Unicorn: the Lost Version"

Hardcover, signed versions of "The Last Unicorn: the Lost Version" can be preordered now from Subterranean Press

SAD NEWS

A note to Peter's fans, everywhere.

Sad news. Peter's mother, Rebecca Soyer Beagle, finally passed away on the evening of Saturday, June 24th 2006, after several years of declining health. She was 100 years old. She went in her sleep, which was good, leaving behind her two sons, Peter and Daniel, and many people who loved her.

If you would like to learn more about this remarkable woman, without whose loving support and childhood influence Peter would never have become a writer, visit: http://www.conlanpress.com/html/rebecca_beagle.html

Messages of condolence should be sent to Peter c/o Conlan Press, 2565 3rd Street, Suite 306, San Francisco CA 94107.

The family has asked that anyone wishing to make donations in Rebecca Beagle's memory do so by giving to one of her favorite institutions, the Judah L. Magnes Museum in Berkeley, California. Rebecca was a docent there before she became too frail to continue, and always supported the museum and its mission. Contact information below:
