That circular JPEG was particularly difficult to get- the original photo
is 6 1/2" in diameter, so the CD liner folds out like a roadmap. I
had to remove the resulting creases in the photograph, which crossed right
in the middle of Away's face, using Adobe Photoshop. It took about 3 hours
to accomplish with the rubber stamp, the smear tool, "Undo," and
an ample supply of patience. If you don't believe me, I'm flattered, but
just take a look at Piggy's left (from our perspective) eyebrow and Snake's
hair on the right side of his face - they're blurred because I couldn't
fix them perfectly. It was also quite hard to remove it from the black-and-purple
engraving that surrounded it. Pixel by pixel editing took care of that.
