We saw Iron Man tonight (thanks to TechCrunch for the $1 advance screening and legal farce) and it was great. My only complaint is that too many of the best lines were spoiled by also being in the trailer, but that's a problem with pretty much every movie. "What The Frak Is Going On?" is brilliant piece of editing work. If you're not caught up with Battlestar Galactica, you can be caught up from the beginning of the series to the start of the current season in 8 entertaining minutes. Speaking of BSG: Last weekend we were in New York City and Long Island for a visit with friends and family. We spent some time in the city with Pax, who was wearing a "FRAK OFF" T-shirt. A couple of people noticed it, including a guy working at a street food cart. "Hey, Battlestar, all right, ha ha." Wow. Funny: "Ding Dong" (photo: Texas Rangers fan gets a baseball in the crotch, with many onlookers),
Software development process talk is seldom funny, but maybe you'll like We Tried Baseball and It Didn't Work. Kinda cheesy, kinda cool: McLaughlin / Hellborg duo in 1987 on German TV. Interesting: They Criticized Vista. And They Should Know (via Faisal); Steven Levitt: Why do crack dealers still live with their moms? Weird but well meant: FreeRice. Funny: 'Charlie Rose' by Samuel Beckett, The Billboard Liberation Front brings more truth in advertising, Brian Kenney Fresno: Older, Uglier Woman. |
