I got a job! I work as a Product Manager now. I started on the 6th, and so far I like it a lot. Once again this year we're part of a group of folks who have rented a ski house up at Lake Tahoe. It's the same one as last year, with most of the same crew. This year we'll definitely buy ski boots and poles, and probably skis as well, if we can fit them in the car without buying a ski rack. Kim and I agreed to give each other half of a PlayStation 2 for Christmas. Then, last night, I went to play Final Fantasy IX (a great game for the original PlayStation), which I want to finish before Final Fantasy X (for the PS2) comes out in January, and my PlayStation doesn't work anymore. Doh! So Kim and I looked at each other, and dashed off to get ready to go out and buy a PS2 a little earlier than planned. :) We bought the system and made sure to grab Devil May Cry, one of the hottest games for the PS2 so far. I played it a bit and it looks really cool. However, I'm forcing myself to finish up Final Fantasy IX first. My LCD projector died a couple of weeks ago, and after replacing the lamp (to no avail) then getting a replacement for the replacement lamp (to no avail), it's now being repaired. So I have to wait to see what a PS2 game looks like on a 120" screen. I am very excited to see what Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy X, Metal Gear Solid 2, etc. will look like on a BIG screen.
I wrote a Perl module called Mac::AppleSingleDouble, which is now on CPAN in my directory. Cool! |
